The Academy of the LSN is known as the International Faculty of the Leaders Society Nigeria.

International faculty of Leaders Society Nigeria:

LSN aims to establish an international faculty of leaders in various disciplines including but not limited to academic, politic, business, developmental studies, education, and technology/engineering, healthcare. 

The faculty members will be appointed on a yearly tenure but could be renewed. The faculty members do not need to be politically affiliated with any political party or be Nigerians. It will work to achieve the following objectives:

  • Establish a joint platform for the assemblage of researchers at the cutting edge of an investigation into issues contributing to world peace and dissemination of research findings.
  • Establish a network of intellectuals, writers, and international development and research organizations with an interest in furthering peace and development in Nigeria.
  • Link Diaspora and National efforts for development through basic socio-political and translational research.
  • Seek avenues for vigorous and robust dissemination of information through seminars, publications, etc.

[Primary Objective]

The International Faculty (IF) is committed to the study of issues fundamental to the emergence of new approaches to the resolution of the peculiar political and developmental needs of Nigeria. 

As an organ of the Leaders Society Nigeria, it seeks to establish a forum for thoughts, debates, and theorizing about existence and leadership from an indigenous point mirrored against external perspectives. Furthermore, LSN seeks to provide fertile ground in developing a progressive and visionary approach to issues of Nigeria’s national development, security and democratic norms in a globalized 21st century.

It is centered on three fundamental objectives, namely:

  1. To get Diaspora and National oriented efforts on a joint platform of research and debates.
  2. To establish the Centre’s office in Nigeria, which will work in close collaboration with partners in directing research efforts towards the attainment of our objective.
  3. Linking Diaspora, national and international efforts with Nigeria at the center of studies and research of such activities.

Major Consideration and/or major reason why this initiative is necessary include:

  1. Create a Joint platform: Concentration of efforts and the power of collective response to issues affecting the nation in other to promote accelerated development through:
  • Cultivating political intellectualism and suaveness at the level of Nigeria’s political class, development workers and the Nigerian youth.
  • Promote a seat of Political re-engineering in Nigeria using the Diaspora resources as a vehicle for positive change. It seeks to become the seat of a fresh perspective on political thought and behaviour beneficial to the Nigerian people from an indigenous as well international point of view. The atmosphere is right to develop National strategies, to study the impact of globalisation on Nigeria and best ways of harvesting the benefits of this phenomenon on Nigeria’s national development

[Participants and Members of Faculty:]

Aside from the core Research or academic participants in the International Faculty detailed below, the following may be recognised as members of the Faculty.

i) Fellows:

This honour shall be bestowed on individuals by invitation only. Fellows are recognised for major contributions toward national development and conflict reduction/resolution in our country. They may carry out tasks on behalf of the society and may be of any nationality.

ii) Associates:

Comprising individuals and organizations. Associates shall be major functional and economic constituents of the international faculty.

They can carry out tasks in their field of specialisation on behalf of the faculty and shall include researchers, consultants, Development Workers, etc. By invitation or application.

[Institutional Linkages:]

The Centre (The International faculty) shall constitutively be grown with linkages to reputable universities worldwide as well as research centres or institutes.

However the Centre shall be totally free from their administrative control and shall exist as an independent body.

[Management of the International faculty/Academy:]

  1. Dean of Faculty
  2. Assistant Dean
  3. Administrative Assistants

The Dean shall oversee day-to-day activities of the Faculty with the support of the staff of the Society in fulfilling the mandate of the faculty.
